Deleting Win2k system DLLs

Procedure:

Enable Windows Explorer to view protected operating system files.

This will display a folder called DLLCACHE under the path WINNTSystem32. Microsoft allows system DLLs to be renamed in the DLLCACHE folder.

Once renamed, you can browse back to the WINNT folder and locate the original DLL file.

The file name will not change under the WINNT folder, but you will be able to delete the file since you have renamed it in under the DLLCACHE folder.
